Directions:  From Grand Lake, Road 6 is 9 miles south on Highway 34 (towards Granby).

From Highway 40 on the west side of Granby, turn north onto Highway 34. Follow the straightaway for about 6 miles, and climb up the hill. When you first see Lake Granby on your right, that is your right hand turn, onto Road 6. Follow it for about 1.4 miles, trying to keep your eye on the road because the water view is eye-catching. Pass the right hand turn /Road 632 which goes up Bussey Hill, watch for an osprey nest on your right and take the next left onto Road 6005. Those are all private lakefront properties along your right. Go to the end of the road and this is the last home on the left, #281 Grand County Road 6006.

Road 6 is at the southwest corner of Lake Granby, 9 miles south of Grand Lake. If you continue on Road 6 past this Road 6005, the road crosses the dam and goes 9 miles back to Monarch Lake and to hiking trails in the Indian Peaks Wilderness.
