Directions - 5 miles south of Grand Lake, about 11 miles north of Granby, turn west onto Road 4, at Highway 34 Storage:
Look at your odometer and go up Road 4 to just before the 2 mile marker. Turn left onto Road 451, go 200 feet and turn left onto Road 452. Follow it a half mile along the portion that is county plowed. You will see a sign that says End of County Maintenance As you drive down the hill on this last 6/10 of a mile, you will see this home with the impressive roof line centered at a distance, off to your right. Several home owners along the road pay the neighbor who plows; he lives at the end of the road. The people in the white home on the left help plow, too.
When you return to Road 4, turn left and this time, go another 900 feet into the National Forest. From here, you can legally drive your snowmobile onto the 86 miles of groomed trails through the National Forest. You can go by snowmobile all the way into Grand Lake Village and back! Now that summer is coming, explore these old logging roads on Razers and ATV's.
